Although his number 19 no longer hangs from the rafters of the Met Center, he will always be remembered by North Star fans as the hard working center who tragically lost his life to the game he loved so much to play. Each year the same type of hard work and dedication to the game that Bill exhibited is rewarded to the NHL player who wins the trophy named in his honor.
